Hairy Clematis, or Sugarbowl, along the Continental Divide Trail near MacDonald Pass

nature, everyday.

No matter how small the opportunity, we should try to engage with nature everyday.

There is growing evidence that being in nature has a positive effect on our mental health in childhood and later in life. When coupled with a walk or hike, it enhances our mood, and improves our physical health as well. Further, it connects us to our surroundings and reminds us of our role as environmental stewards.

I believe that being in nature is critical to our health and well being. From city parks to national parks to empty lots and roadside wetlands and fallow fields. Take a moment and be present in whatever patch of nature you can find.
